2025: Project Recaps

  • (Dec 24) Adopt-A-Family For Christmas: Single Moms

    Provided financial support to (3) single moms who live below the poverty line and Santa delivered gifts to their 14 children including several w/special needs (deaf, autism) who would have gone without.

  • (Jan 29) Pete's Helping Hand: Mom with Blind Son

    Provided assistance to mom with 8 year old son Samuel. Sam’s disease requires the family to fly to FL several times per year for treatments and prosthetic fittings. (Sam was at school when pic was taken).

  • (Feb 9) Pete's Helping Hand: Project Chris Bed

    Provided adjustable bed, mattress and rollator to Brookfield client with back and other health challenges who could only afford air mattress.

  • (Mar 10) Pete's Repeats: Hospital Bed for Grandma in Hospice

    Provided Danbury family caring for grandmother in their home with hospital bed donated by Butter Brook Nursing Home in New Milford.

  • (Mar 16) Pete's Helping Hand: Mom & Baby in Crisis

    Provided assistance to a loving mother with baby born 24 weeks premature with severe health complications including brain from stroke and lung damage. Father abandoned family when mom refused abortion.

  • (April 15) Pete's Repeats: Gift Van thru Sisters of Life to At Risk Mom

    Gifted HDHM van to single mom with 5 children through Sisters of Life who we have come to know through St Gregs in Danbury.

  • (April 21) Pete's Helping Hand: Hometown Hero w/Cancer

    HDHM provided financial assistance to beloved local contractor and lifelong town Fire Dept volunteer who is self insured and battling cancer.

  • (May 8) Make-A-Wish: 21 Strong Family Event

    HDHM event for (6) families with Down syndrome children. Afternoon full of fun and adventure at donor estate.

  • (May 19) Pete's Punch List: Project Broken Glass

    HDHM was contacted by a local social services team to repair a window for a client they just moved off the street. Many thanks to Brookfield Glass who generously replaced the window at no charge.
