After 25+ years of service, founder Peter “The Bossman” Brady has decided to retire from the organization.
Our Mission
Handy Dandy Handyman operates exclusively for charitable purposes and brings volunteers and clients together with a shared purpose grounded in Christian principles.
It is the mission of HDHM to help people deal with challenging circumstances while maintaining their sense of dignity, self esteem and physical well being.

2024: Year in Review

Jan. 14: Adopt a Family For Christmas
Provided financial support to 6 hardworking families who live below the poverty line and Santa delivered gifts to their 15 children who otherwise would have gone without...families included single moms and children with severe disabilities (autism, cerebral palsy and paralysis). Families were extremely grateful and emotional!

Jan. 21: Project Hector Transport Van:
HDHM raised funds to be put toward a handicap transport van for a loving and hard working family with a boy with Cerebral Palsy and who HDHM supported several years ago with a much-needed hospital/ electric bed.

Feb. 8: Project Greg
HDHM Raised funds to help provide proper burial services for our hometown hero may he rest in God’s peace.

Feb. 21: Project Nash Boys
HDHM provided financial assistance to a loving and dedicated single mother of 3 autistic boys ages 9, 11 and 14 who’s disabilities require intensive therapies and support services much of which is not covered by insurance.

June 9: Pete Brady Appreciation Event
HDHM appreciation event recognized Pete for his charitable works and community outreach held at St Joseph’s Parish in Brookfield. Celebration was attended by many volunteers, donors, state and local officials and even numerous “clients” who HDHM has supported over the years. Wonderful event to honor the Bossman who founded this incredible ministry.

June 30: Project Single Mom Restart
HDHM Supplied furniture items including beds, dressers, etc. to a single mom with child transitioning out of a local women’s shelter and into an apartment.

July 6: Project DaSilva Family Eviction Help
HDHM provided funds to cover back rent for a family with significant health and financial challenges. We surprised the family with a check on top of their favorite crumb cake...the family / dad was super emotional because they were on the verge of being evicted with nowhere to go…

Aug. 5: Project Make-A-Wish 21 Strong Adventure
Hosted families with children with Down syndrome on Candlewood Lake and at CLC golf course for a unique day of fun experiences, family bonding and thrilling adventure.

Sep. 12: Project Single Mom Shelter
Assisted single mom with 7 year old daughter in search of shelter after being evicted from Apartment...funded hotel accommodations while mom searched for housing alternatives.
